Techno-Economic Evaluation of Smart Grid Technologies

PPA Energy is engaged in a collaborative project with contributions from major suppliers, universities, and international network operators including EDF and National Grid.

The programme includes techno-economic evaluation of smart grid technologies that will be necessary in world cities with increased populations, ever more congestion, and with decarbonised electricity as the main energy vector.

The project provides options for increasing capacity in cable routes, superconductivity, compact substations, power electronics and DC networks.
