Claire joined PPA after graduating from Imperial College in 2007 with a first class MEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, specialising in power systems. At PPA Energy Claire carries out the analysis of generation, transmission and distribution projects and systems for utilities, industrial companies and regulators internationally. 

As part of a recent project on minimum standards of quality of service and reliability of supply, Claire took part in an international workshop in Johannesburg, presenting results to the client.  Claire has also presented at an IEEE Seminar on transmission pricing, project managed an electricity market study and worked on a review of a proposed coal-fired power station in Tanzania in her time at PPA Energy. 

Claire is currently working on a project facilitating regional power trading and environmentally sustainable development of electricity infrastructure in the Greater Mekong Subregion.  As part of this project, Claire is reviewing country data, identifying candidate interconnection projects and conducting load flow studies to assess feasibility and has presented at an international workshop.  Claire is also currently managing a project to revise a connection guide for Distributed Generation in the UK.
