PPA Energy has recently been awarded a Certificate of Excellence in completion of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme with Cardiff University.  The 2-year scheme, partly funded by the UK Technology Strategy Board, received the highest possible grade of ‘Outstanding’.  John Snow, now a Consultant at PPA Energy, held the position of KTP Associate which included 12 months at the High Voltage Energy Systems Research Group (HIVES) where he investigated overhead line equipment failure patterns and processes. 

The knowledge gained from laboratory and field research at Cardiff University has been applied to a successful project with a large client in which John, as a member of the consultancy team, played an important role in delivering.
